Northside PDX Baseball Club provides a fun and competitive baseball experience with minimal travel for 10u, 11U, 12U, 13U baseball players residing in North and Northeast Portland. Northside PDX Baseball Club’s guiding mission is to provide an affordable baseball experience for youth to further develop their skills while staying engaged and committed to their Little League community.

Job Duties

  • Developing training regimens to improve individual player skills, such as batting or pitching
  • Maintaining discipline among players, parents, and other spectators to ensure that games are played fairly and safely
  • Monitoring player performance to assess strengths and weaknesses and make adjustments to improve performance
  • Motivating players to perform their best by setting goals and providing support during difficult times
  • Schedule and run team practices
  • Work to improve team unity and sportsmanship

Requirements to coach

  • Proven work experience as a youth sports coach
  • In-depth knowledge of baseball
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Patient and understanding
